Service Description

Implementation of the Second Step Curriculum designed to promote children's social and academic success by decreasing problem behaviors, increasing students school success and promoting social-emotional competence and self-regulation. Child Protection Unit (CPU) is an add-on to the SEL, focused on addressing the multiple influences that can contribute to child abuse and neglect through a classroom-based curriculum. Bullying Prevention Unit (BPU) is an add-on-on to the SEL, focused on changing multiple levels of the school ecology to prevent bullying through a classroom-based curriculum.

Eligibility

Pre-K-5th SEL and CPU; K-5th BPU at Jeffersonville ES; 6th - 8th SEL at Twiggs County MS afterschool program. 463 youth and 24 classrooms.
