The Kids on the Block is a puppetry program for children and their teachers designed to promote awareness and prevention as well as understanding and support for social issues pertaining to children. The goal is to help children to learn to recognize abusive behaviors such as sexual abuse and bullying. The program also teaches about healthy nutrition and childhood obesity. Puppets are used to perform skits and after the "show" the children are given the opportunity to ask questions about the performance. The program works with Whitfield County and Dalton City Schools.
