"Transforming Families through Literacy" is the agency's mission. Dougherty Family Literacy Connection's programs focus on a holistic approach for the family, providing educational training for adults and children, parenting classes and other family services. Dougherty Family Literacy Connection is part of the Georgia Family Connection Partnership. Mandated reporter training is available. Home visitation is through Parents as Teachers.
