Enforces federal minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, child labor requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act, Employee Polygraph Protection Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, wage garnishment provisions of the Consumer Credit Protection Act, and other employment standards and worker protections in several immigration-related statutes. Accepts complaints for investigation and conciliation. Provides information to the public on federal wage and hour laws in over 200 languages.
