MedConsult Line is staffed by the University of Florida, Department of Psychiatry in Gainesville. MedConsult line provides medical consultation by phone on psychotropic medication treatment decisions for any physician, child welfare counselor, foster parent, BNET liaison or judge who are working with a child in an out-of-home placement or enrolled in BNET. Information provided is medication use, possible side effects, and doctor to doctor consultation.

Must involve a child taking psychotropic medications in an out-of-home placement or enrolled in BNET.

Must complete intake over the phone and a child psychiatrist will contact the individual within 24 hours.
