Service Description

Provides violence prevention and character-developing afterschool program and cognitive behavioral therapy. The program involves the physical discipline of martial arts, mental self-defense, and peaceful conflict resolution. Combining clinical interventions such as group education, anger management training, communication skill-building, and family support and guidance will help students improve their social skills, communication skills and reduce conflicts with peers and adults. Homework and tutorial assistance is part of the daily program activities.

Eligibility

Individuals ages 5 to 12 years old who are severely emotionally disturbed/handicapped, must have IEP and be at risk of mental health problems.
