Res-Care Job Corps

FOR PROFIT - Offers free comprehensive education and job training for at-risk youth that meet the low income government guidelines. Program combines classroom, practical, and work-based learning experiences to prepare youth for stable, long-term, high-paying jobs. Because Job Corps is a self-paced program, training can take anywhere between eight months to two years to complete, depending on the career area chosen and the learning pace a student sets for him/herself. Students live in dorms with other students or off campus, receive a living allowance, free meals and medical care and participate in sports, community service projects and leadership groups. Upon completion of program, placement and lengthy follow-up services are provided to program participants by one of the Corps Career Transitions Specialists. Jackson Pierce Public Affairs, Inc. is responsible for the recruitment, admissions and placement of all Florida Job Corps participants and provides free program orientations on Monday and Wednesday mornings. No appointment is necessary for orientation.
