Kids In Distress

The Family Counseling Center provides counseling for children and their families who reside in Broward County. Licensed and license-eligible therapists (MSWs, MHCs, and MFTs) provide services to children ages 0-18 years (up to 21 if enrolled in school and/or have an Individualized Education Program [IEP]) and work with various issues including: grief and loss, foster care placement, divorce, anger management, ADD/ADHD, anxiety and school adjustment, among others. The center also provides Infant Mental Health services for children ages 0-5 years and offers support and positive parenting skills to their families. Services can be provided in the client’s home, at KID, or at the client’s school, aftercare program or pre-school.
