Provides temporary financial assistance, including assistance with utility bills, food, auto repairs, gas for travel to cancer treatments, rent, mortgage, homeowners and car insurance, and car payments.

Individuals diagnosed with and currently in treatment for cancer, experiencing financial hardship, and a resident of Marion County.

Visit the website to download application form. Email completed form to Hugspatientassistance@gmail.com ; call or email for details. Funds will be paid directly to the agency/business (i.e., utility company, landlord, mortgage company, etc.) that provides the service requesting assistance for. Food and gas money is given in the form of gift cards. When calling leave a voicemail and a representative with return your call. Voicemails are checked weekly.

Required Documents: Verification from a treatment center indicating currently under care for a cancer diagnosis Copy of a bill that you are requesting assistance with along with due date, if applicable

Note: Applications are reviewed every two to three weeks. The amount awarded will depend on need and availability of funds.
