Broward County Transit

Provides paratransit services for all military veterans, persons with a disability, or an impairment-related condition who cannot access the regular Broward County fixed-route bus system (written application with a doctor's verification of need required). Transport is to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and senior centers. Door-to-door paratransit transportation is provided to health care, employment, education, shopping, social activities, and other life-sustaining activities.

BCT follows Federal Poverty Guidelines to determine income eligibility.

Individuals must mail the application to Paratransit Eligibility Services, Broward County Transit, 1 North University Drive., Suite 3100-A, Plantation, FL 33324. Completed applications must include medical information signed by a Florida licensed physician on inability to use the regular bus system. An in-person functional assessment is required, in most cases, to complete the eligibility process.
