Broward County Housing Authority (BCHA)

Provides Section 8 rental assistance to families whose lack of adequate housing is a primary cause of the separation, or imminent separation, of a child or children from their families. Child Net or the Flight Center must certify that the lack of adequate housing is a primary reason that the family's child(ren) may be placed in out-of-home care or prevented from returning to the family from out-of-home care.

Child Net or the Flight Center certifies the lack of adequate housing is the reason for out-of-home placement before referring a family to the agency. The family must be otherwise eligible for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program according to HUD Guidelines.

Program is accessible by referral from Child Net or the Flight Center.
